My work began with a personal question: why was adapting to life in the United States so difficult, even when I was doing everything I was supposed to do? That question led me to research the lived experiences of voluntary Latino migrants as they acculturate to the United States. Over time, those questions expanded into a broader body of work on transitions, belonging, living in-between worlds, and the redefinition of home.
Today, I bring together lived experience, research, and practical insight to help people and organizations better understand how identity, comfort, and belonging are disrupted and reordered in changing environments.
